Q. Is it good idea to use animation in my email?
A. In short no, not really. The only way of using animation in your email is by inserting it into your template as an animated GIF file, however these are not always supported and you can create a good looking email without them.
Video is yet to be widely supported however some ISP's display YouTube videos inside your account (you'll need special YouTube code to make this work). Some of our clients find that a picture of the first scene of the video works for them. When clicked, this can be linked to a hosted version of the video on the web.
Q. How can I share my email socially?
A. According to recent findings social media was the trend that dominated email marketing companies in 2010. According to Reuters an email marketing campaign that hasn't considered social media is incomplete.
So that's why most Email Service Providers should make it easy to share your email socially. Inside PureResponse we provide you with a snippet manager that includes our social share block (you can find this whilst editing your message creative). The social share block allows you to link directly to any social media pages you have set up. Alternatively, you can make your own images and then link them using popular Facebook and Twitter share URL's (links). It's also a good idea to make sure you give people a reason to share the email, like a great offer or event to attend.
Q. Do you provide me web space to host my images?
A. Yes, we provide you with 250mb of hosting space per account to host email related content. Click the Content tab in PureResponse and then click on "Upload Library" to access the interface to begin uploading your files. If you would prefer, we can provide you the FTP details to access your Upload Library space through your own FTP client (the FTP clients themselves are unsupported). This is often the preferred method when you have multiple files to upload.
